Inspired Me
Inspired by Lauren Greenfield’s Girlhood, my photographs of my teammates explore similar themes of identity, growth, and camaraderie. Like Greenfield, I aimed to capture moments of authenticity and vulnerability, highlighting both individual personalities and the dynamics of our group.
I was inspired by Emmet Gowin’s black-and-white, moody photographs, which capture intimacy and emotional depth that might feel different if rendered in color. His work influenced my approach to my film photography, encouraging me to focus on subtle lighting, texture, and atmosphere to create a sense of quiet reflection.
